Darling Solomon...he spent the day at our place whilst Chris worked..such a pleasure to have him...we enjoyed a long walk around the river...


  

This is a photo of the Old Perth Technical School and the new BHP building...one of the oldest and the one of newest buildings in the Perth CBD area. Pete and I went to see the paintings competing for the Black Swan  Prize for Portraiture  at the Linton and Kay Gallery in the Old Tech School. The area around the new BHP building is really interesting.



Dinner at ours...Jeremy, Chris and Tash washing up...I'm not sure what Jeremy was smiling about  but obviously Chris and Tash didn't find it too funny.

Tonight we went to a wonderful concert at Winthrop hall....Katie Noonan and Karin  Schaupp.. two amazingly talented ladies, such an enjoyable evening.  For one song they were accompanied by Natasha's select choir from Trinity who sang superbly.

The bottlebrushes are blooming everywhere...but today I took their photo on the golf course.  Played in an incredible cold south west wind with Jane, Judith H and Shirley Mashman...it was Jane that  commented on the bottlebrushes...

 Probably the windiest morning we have ever experienced...Judy,Mandy,Pauline,Marjolijn and Kirsten...it was fun to watch the kite surfers who were having a great time.

Todd and Tash came for dinner this evening...so we could wish Todd a Happy Birthday. He has lent me his digital SLR...exciting!!...took this one with it...

The new Indian restaurant that has opened just down the road on Cambridge....fabulous, Pete and I enjoyed a really delicious meal...service was great ...nice thing to do on a cold, wet, windy night.

Final day of the Club Championships..top 4 players Mardi,Alison Belinda and Michelle (Judy, caddying)..Mardi our new Club Champ! I had the 9th best gross score which was I pretty happy with.

The incomparable Rufus Wainwright (right) and Teddy Thompson....a brilliant concert...I was so looking forward to this concert and Rufus didn't disappoint. The evening began with support artist Krystle Warren, a singer in Rufus' band followed by Megan Washington, both were impressive.

Beth, Dawn and Jan...my three playing partners today in the 3rd round of the club championships( we were seeded from our gross scores of the first two rounds) ..we had a really enjoyable game , good company and good golf.

Another beautiful spring day ...I had to go to work but managed to spend a few moments in the garden in the afternoon. This is rhaphiolepis umbellata...easy to grow shrub outside our back door.

The National Mosque..which doesn't follow the conventional Middle Eastern mosque design of domes and arches...it is really quite beautiful...I found the visit a very interesting experience.
