5/7/2019 Day 10 Tuross Head to Kiama

Awoke this morning to the sound of raindrops
on our van’s roof. The view outside was not too
exciting. Still, we have been pretty lucky up until
today.

After breakfast we set off as usual... driving
through forest and farm land. There are so many
little towns.... sometimes only 10 km apart.
Above is Moruya... so many of the towns have
been able to retain their old buildings.

Dolphin Point .. amazing black rock and big
surf....

Watched these kids risking life and limb on the
rocks and in the surf.

Morning tea stop was in Ulladulla...the sun was
trying to come out...at the end of the beach is
another Rock Pool.

Further up the coast is the beach that is
said to have the whitest sand in the world...
Hyams Beach. The sand really was very white.

The one place we really wanted to visit was
Booderee National Park... there are many tracks
to walk and pristine beaches to see.

Murray’s Beach... absolutely breath taking... and no one in sight! How lucky were we that the sun
reappeared and the rain stopped.

... and when we weren’t looking at the water
we could turn around and see these
magnificent gums.

Still in the National Park, we visited Cave Beach

Again... the fine sand and the reflections...

A short walk around the headland and we were
at Bherwerre Beach...see Pete?

Pete took this one...we decided we would
return to Booderee one day.

....drove through more green countryside... and
the rain returned.

Kendall Beach Kiama is where we are staying
tonight...
