Pete and I were on our way to Vestmanna when we spotted these windmills....
It was a beautiful scenic drive ....
Vestmanna....the town's hydropower plant has produced electricity for 65 years.
The town itself ....
I couldn't resist the reflection...
Pete and I went on this boat for a tour of the bird cliffs and caves north of Vestmanna.
The boat took us into deep grottos and around high-rise sea stacks, carved and shaped by nature through millions of years. These bird cliffs used to serve as a source of food in the old days. The Faroese farmers still gather their sheep on the seemingly inaccessible, steep mountain sides. We saw seagulls, gannets and puffins and of course plenty of sheep.
Looking on the other side of the boat.
