Wednesday 9 October

New York Museum of Modern Art...thoroughly enjoyed it , not only the paintings and exhibits but was quite taken with the building itself.

Pumpkins ( we have seen a lot of these!) in the Chelsea Markets...such an interesting place to visit.

The incredible Flatiron Building

Eataly in Chelsea...our final meal in New York...and the best pizza I think I have ever eaten...

Tonight we had the extreme pleasure of seeing the New York Metropolitan Opera perform Eugene Onegin at the Lincoln Centre. What a fabulous night...the atmosphere, the venue, the music, the costume...it was all quite spectacular.

A beautiful sunny day ...we headed up to the upper east side...starting at the Frick Collection...then continued to walk around the area ( it's where Carrie lived!) and admired all the gorgeous apartments , trees and flower boxes.

South Street Seaport and Wall Street.

Soho...famous for its cast iron buildings, they are so attractive. Down on street levels they are occupied by the top brand retailers...very swish.

Walking down Broadway to 45th street to see the musical "Once". This part of the world at night is quite amazing.
