On the road again...on our way to Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range. Was a very pleasant drive until the 53km dirt road into the National Park.

Our first view of the Bungle Bungles. AMAZING!

Holly Leaf Grevillea .....quite common in the Park...it is so pretty.

And there was an abundance of this Earleaf Acacia....

We only stopped for a short while on our way to the campground...looking forward to tomorrow!

The grey banding is a coating of cyanobacteria, which has grown on areas where moisture accumulates. The orange bands are due to the colour of oxidised iron compounds, which have dried out too quickly for cyanobacteria to grow. The ones are made of sandstone deposited about 360 million years ago.
