What to do on a hot day in Perth....

After spending the last two days in our cool air-conditioned house while the temperature outside rose above 40 degrees, I suggested to Pete that we visit the new Western Australian Museum....Boola Bardup.

We have been wanting to visit the museum since the completion of the new building and renovations to the old building (in 2020). It was awesome...a marvellous building and I'm so pleased they built it around the old building...

The number of amazing exhibits are overwhelming....we didn't come close to seeing everything...this is a camel skeleton. I didn't know that the largest population of camels in the wild, estimated as more than 1 million individuals as of 2023, is found in neither Arabia or Mongolia but instead in the Australian desert.

A history lesson...in a film clip on these blocks...

So many stunning spaces...

Another film clip ...

I'd say I enjoyed the Wildlife section the most...

Every museum has a model dinosaur ... this one is of a Titanosauriform sauropod.

The old and the new...

This was exceptional...a wonderful art exhibition....of  paintings by Shane Pickett, a painter  of the Nyoongar lands.
