No rain today, but very cloudy...I had a very enjoyable game with Lois from Mandurah and Linley from Maylands.

After a delicious lunch with Jenny, Irene and Lorenz at a restaurant  on the main street, Lorenz and I went for a walk to look at all the beautiful old buildings.

The statue of Paddy Hannan on Hannan Street in the heart of Kalgoorlie. Patrick Hannan was a gold prospector whose lucrative discovery on 14 June 1893 set off a major gold rush in the area now known as Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia.

The Palace Hotel is a historic hotel and landmark which has been in the heart of Kalgoorlie since 1897. We were to have dinner on the verandah in the evening.

More old buildings, I was quite impressed with how well they are being looked after.

Lovely big wide streets...

The balcony of the Palace Hotel

The view from the balcony....

What a great night we had...the food was fabulous and we had so many laughs....from the left is Jan, Jenny, Lee, Irene, Lorenz and Jonnine.
