No rain today, but very cloudy...I had a very enjoyable game with Lois from Mandurah and Linley from Maylands.
After a delicious lunch with Jenny, Irene and Lorenz at a restaurant on the main street, Lorenz and I went for a walk to look at all the beautiful old buildings.
The statue of Paddy Hannan on Hannan Street in the heart of Kalgoorlie. Patrick Hannan was a gold prospector whose lucrative discovery on 14 June 1893 set off a major gold rush in the area now known as Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia.
The Palace Hotel is a historic hotel and landmark which has been in the heart of Kalgoorlie since 1897. We were to have dinner on the verandah in the evening.
More old buildings, I was quite impressed with how well they are being looked after.
