Watched the sun rise while we drank our tea.....

The black hills behind us didn't look black anymore...amazing how the sunshine changed their colour.

On the road again, back to Broome...

The bridge over the Fitzroy River suffered extensive damage during the recent floods in the Kimberley. A temporary bridge has been built while they build a new permanent one. Pete and I were thankful for this temporary bridge, if it hadn't been built so quickly we wouldn't have been able to have this wonderful adventure.

Pulled up at Willard Bridge Roadhouse for petrol and a coffee. We have seen plenty of road trains with three carriages but never one with four, like this petrol tanker. I couldn't fit them all in one photo!

The Great Northern Highway was also damaged by the floods so there was a lot of roadwork being done....while we were stopped I jumped out and took some photos..

We arrived in Broome in the early afternoon...Pete had booked us into The Pearle of Broome...it was lovely...so clean , no red dust....and a wonderful bathroom.

...and a swimming pool. After putting our washing in the washing machine and then the drier, we went out to dinner.
