Goodbye Cockburn Range and El Questro Station ...on our way to Kununurra

Pumping the tires up.....

The road into Kununurra where we stopped to pick up some food and petrol.

We arrived at Lake Argyle Resort and Caravan Park at lunch time. Great lake view from the infinity pool.

The view of Lake Argyle from the bus that was taking us to our boat for a sunset cruise.

The dam...

The dam was built with rocks from this quarry which is close by....the dam was finished earlier than expected and another positive was that it blends in with the landscape.

Sunshine on the rocky hills....really blue, calm water...

We spotted a few fresh water crocodiles on the banks of the lake.

The lake looked enormous and we were only seeing a fraction of it. The area of the land that Lake Argyle covers is larger than that of Switzerland.

As the water became calmer and the sun was lower in the sky we could really appreciate the reflections.

Our guides gave us bread to feed the fish...they are mostly catfish but are now called Silver Cobbler.  Why Silver Cobbler?...apparently it sells better with that name.

I took heaps of photos ....it was beautiful in every direction.

Spot the Wallaroo...

One of those things you don't forget...a swim in Lake Argyle. Most people used a noodle so that they could have a beer or wine. What about the crocodiles? Apparently they don't venture into deep water.

An awesome sunset

And on the opposite horizon, the moon rose.

What a wonderful experience it was.

The bus delivered us safely to the campground. Pete and I headed to the restaurant for dinner.
