These are two lovely photos that Todd took of his grandfather Jack and Tash when they visited him recently. This evening Tash told us of her conversations with Jack about his experience on the Burma Railway as we were discussing the book The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Richard Flanagan. It was an excellent contribution to the discussion, so wonderful for us to hear his story.

The Hotham Valley train...in Dwellingup ....where Barb and I met Marguerite before we began our walk along the Bibbulmun Track.
The weather was just perfect, cool and cloudy with no breeze.
We walked through some really beautiful bush....our journey took us from River Road to Yarragil Form....we had a pleasant break for lunch at the Swamp Oak hut.
There weren't too many wildflowers about yet, possibly a little early but these caught my eye...Pimelea Suaveolens....
We thought the sign rather amusing! A fun day it was...I really do enjoy walking, especially with good company and surrounded by the beautiful Australian bush.

An eerie morning at the beach this morning, it reminded me of the Cornwall coast....the water was like glass and the horizon wasn't always visible.
Some shots of the city that I took from Sir James Mitchell Park Beaches...there can't be many capital cities in the world that have such clean river beaches.
And this is looking down the river towards the construction site of the new football stadium and development at Burswood.
