The City Beach Surf Club building is coming along nicely....I think I am pretty lucky that the two places where I spend most of my free time are undergoing extensive changes, for the better (City Beach and the golf club)...I am certainly going to enjoy the new facilities.

Tash and Rusty popped in this afternoon...I followed him around with my camera trying to take a photo...he doesn't stay still for very long.

How beautiful is this jacarandah?! Behind the tree is our first tee  and the pro shop which is soon to be demolished. The new proshop will be incorporated into the existing clubhouse . Below is a photo of the clubhouse and the almost finished new verandah.

Day 2 of the Classic , and this morning it was very windy and chilly. I played with three friendly ladies, Heather from Wanneroo, Virginia from Pinjarra and Anne from Royal Fremantle. The Margaret River course is very beautiful and is adjacent to bush but also farming land as above, a really delightful course to play (even if you don't play very well!).

Yayy, the weather cleared up in the afternoon so Jess, Jane and I went for a walk by the ocean, near Prevally and the river mouth.

My attempt at a panorama shot on my iphone ....

Flower in the sand dunes...

In the evening we returned to the golf club for the presentations...there was a "Witches" theme...music and dancing. I had only my phone, the light was poor and the quality of the shots wasn't terrific but I want to post a photo to remember the evening. We had a ball...that's Sue Mack in the photo with Jess and I.

Day one of the Classic and the weather wasn't quite what we had hoped for, cool, overcast and drizzle. I was in the first group to tee off, with Shirley, Jenni from Royal Perth and my friend Dani from Mandurah,  it was great to play with her again. The little lake on the course just looked stunning as there was no wind.

After the game, Jane, Jess, Shirley and I went for a walk along the Margaret River and through nearby forest, it was just beautiful.

This weekend Jane, Jessie , Shirley and I are playing in the Margaret River Women's Golf Classic. Here we are on the first night at Shirley's holiday house, enjoying a class of red and good conversation.

Jeremy won the National Golden Gavel Award!  It is a public speaking competition for young Australian lawyers, each state was represented. He never ceases to amaze me!

Tash sent me this photo with the text "double trouble". I just had to put it in the blog as it is so funny.

A beautiful shot of Jeremy and Chris that Taryn took after they had been out for dinner. Jeremy is in Melbourne for a speaking competition and also to do some work at the Melbourne Allans office.

Since I am away next weekend for Dean's birthday, we celebrated today with a relaxing barbeque lunch. Mandy took this shot just before everyone went home.

Jo and I went with Tash for her final fitting of her dress today. I'm the keeper of the dress! We are all starting to feel the excitement now.

I had a really enjoyable game of golf today with these ladies, Helen, Sue and Ruth. We all played well, I had 86 off the stick, my best game for a while.

A foggy morning in Perth this morning, which is rather unusual for this time of year. The golf course looked really eerie but it wasn't for long. The sun came out and it was a perfect day. On the 14 th fairway I happened to notice these pretty leaves on one of the trees that sometimes get in our balls' way.

I am very lucky that my children all enjoy taking and sharing photos.  It is even more fortunate that Taryn and Todd take such wonderful photos of my children and share them on instagram.

This weekend Taryn took this photo of Chris and their friend's newborn baby , Billie ....

...and Todd took this photo of Tash, down south amongst the flowering Wedding Bush.
Thankyou Taryn and Todd, I just love these and all your photos that you post on instagram.

Playing with my 35mm lens, this is my new bougainvillea in a pot.

Sunday, 4 October 2015

Today we all gathered at Mandy and Graeme's to make chilli tomato chutney for Tash and Todd to give away to their wedding guests.

Tash made up the little bags of spices to add to....

beautiful roma tomatoes from Fremantle....

and apples, onions, garlic and chilli.

Tash , the overseer...and notice Mandy who cut ALL the onions.

Men at work....Tash reading the recipe (again!)

We could fit four pots on the stove inside and one outside on the barbecue burner, the smell was quite strong.

All the little jars that Tash bought were washed and sterilized in the oven.

I poured the chutney into the jars, Tash put the lids on and Jo cleaned the outside of the jars.  It was a new experience for me...I've never made chutney (nor jam) before.

I took this photo from Mandy's stairs....Ash and Graeme were outside at this stage supervising the three dogs.  It was a wonderful afternoon, such fun and we thought the chutney tasted pretty good as well.

Hard at work....

Marjorie, Jane and Veronica on the course today. All smiling as Jane had her first eagle, she did it on the 12th hole.

Even St Mary's Catholic Cathedral is flying the "Eagles" flag,  footy fever has hit Perth. I hope for my many friends that are Eagles fans that the team wins on Saturday.
