On my way to work this morning I just had to get a photo of the river, it was so calm.

Our view today from the 16th tee....the sun was out but it was only fifteen minutes later that it hailed!

Jane, Jane and Sue in a cart following Nola and Alison as they play in the final round of the club championship....what dreadful weather we had for most of the games.

The 37th hole where Nola finally won. It was her first time playing in a club championship competition and she won! She played brilliant golf coming from 6 down on the 26th hole.

Her daughters Hayley and Sam giving their mum a hug....

Duncan (Nola's husband), Judy (caddy), Hayley, Nola and Samantha....we are all so proud of Nola and so pleased she has joined our club.  It was one of the best days I've enjoyed at the club.

Spring time...watchful parents...

Back to work today, I noticed many of the plants on campus had started flowering since I had been away.

Michelle and Kevin in their kitchen...who looked after me so well.

Michelle and I did a yoga class this morning, my first gym class in 5 years, I loved it. Then Michelle took me on a little drive around familiar suburbs. I had to stop and take this photo of my old primary school St Cecilia's which is now a day care centre.

There were many special moments during this brief holiday in Brisbane . I certainly didn't take photos of them all but hopefully I will remember them. I feel very lucky to have met up with all these dear friends again.

I was really looking forward to today, I was going to spend the whole day with Michelle. Our first stop was the Queensland Museum and then close by was the Art Gallery (above).

Michelle in the distance...what a sensational art gallery, we saw some excellent exhibitions and just the building itself is very attractive.

Of course we stopped in the Gallery coffee shop and what should we see next to our outdoor table but this familiar looking frilled neck lizard. I hadn't seen one in years.

From the Art Gallery we walked over the river into the city.

So many new buildings ...

...and some old...

...we did a little shopping...

and sightseeing, the Town Hall being one of the few city buildings that I can remember.

This was one of the displays in the Brisbane Museum in the Town Hall...who'd have thought fruit boxes could looks so pretty!

All good things must come to an end...after cleaning and packing our cars we all met out on the grass and admired the view for the last time. Then we had a group hug and said our goodbyes. I am so hoping I will see these ladies in the not too distant future.

Trish offered to drive me back to  Michelle's home in Brisbane but first she wanted me to see her home and dog in Caloundra and have a swim at her local beach.

Dicky Beach

What a treat to swim in the Pacific Ocean....I haven't swum in Queensland waters in 43 years and it was fabulous.
