2/7/2019 Day 7 Lakes Entrance to Eden

Before leaving Lakes Entrance, Pete and I
did some sight seeing. Above is the panoramic
view of the lakes and entrance channel seen
from Kalimna Lookout.

Some of the many fishing vessels lining Marine
Parade.

One of the main attractions is the footbridge that
links the town to the surf and golden sands of 90 mile beach. In the distance you can see the
Surf Lifesaving Club. The beach is beyond that.

The pub in Orbost.. a little country timber town.
We stopped for a coffee...

Most of our travel today was on the Princes
Highway... sometimes through beautiful green
farm land but mostly through state forests or
National Parks.

Lunch stop in Genoa...listened to the bell birds..

....stretched our legs walking alongside the
river then over the historic Genoa bridge.

Overnight we are staying in Eden, which is
almost exactly half way between Melbourne
and Sydney.
Our caravan park is on Lake
Curalo and across the road is the beach.

There is a terrific board walk around the lake...

Forgot to say that our caravan park is called
Reflections Holiday Park!

....from the lake walk to the beach ( stunning)
..then back to our van for dinner (risotto in the
 microwave).

These banksia trees are all along the beach front
... hundreds of them.
