Perth is experiencing some very cold weather this week....it was freezing in the early morning at the golf course. Everyone was rugged up in black!

My playing partners, Jane E, Jenny F and Anne...ladies in black in the bunker.
after a few holes it warmed up ...perfect day for golf.

My first walk around Lake Gwelup which is only a short walk from our house.

Swamp hens on the lake....

Our new painting that Pete and I bought in Broome...It was painted by Alexandria Loomoo. Alexandria has painted her grandmother's story. Nungurrai Loomoo was an established and magnificent artist.. Alexandria has depicted some of her grandmother's country south of Balgo, along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route. This country here is called Yarangarri after the prominent warniri (rock hole) depicted in the centre of the painting. This warniri is an inta or living water and always has a reliable source of water. The many parallel lines represent the tali (sandhills) that dominate this country and the dotting depicts the abundance of mungari (bush tucker) in the country.

Early Sunday morning and he is happily constructing duplo.

Came into the bedroom to show me his tower...

Then played with my beanie and visa on our bed....

Will, in his favourite PJs with Grandad's beanie on.

Ethan and Will are fans of the Ninjago stories.

It was one of those days when the weather went from raining to sunshine, on and off all day. A walk outside the Stokes home is always fun...Flynn loves throwing stones in water...in this case a puddle.

There are more of these down their street.

Like most nearly 2 year olds, Flynn loves playing in my car, turning all the buttons and dials. Today he discovered the glove box...and put Bluey in and out many, many times...so cute.

On our way home now....

....and would you believe, more rainbows.

And very dark storm clouds as we arrived in Perth...

Luckily we dodged the rain and made it home safe, sound and dry.

Today in the Netball Semifinal our West Coast Fever beat Melbourne's Vixens ...Jeremy was there to watch, he is such an avid fan of theirs and will be travelling to Melbourne to see the Final.

Ethan making towers for Flynn to smash down....

Flynn is a big "Bluey" fan, it is a great children's program. He is helping his Bluey on the slide.

Really enjoys play dough ....and so do I.

A dazzling start to the day...this rainbow appeared out the front of the house.....

The boys and I spotted these twenty-eight parrots in the backyard....

While Tash and Todd are both working Pete and I are looking after the boys. It was a rainy day but we managed one walk....the most interesting part was when we arrived home and the man next door was using a chainsaw.

Flynn loved his ham and cheese sandwiches that mum had made before she left. He is such an enthusiastic eater.

On our way to pick up Will from preschool.

What a wonderful acacia tree to have at the front of your home, so welcoming.

Todd made us a little fire to toast marshmallows...

What a treat!

You know it is cold when Pete wears a beanie!

And at the end of the day, another rainbow, seen from the back of the house....

At least 30 red-tailed black cockatoos were flying around the course this morning....

They are a critically endangered species....

They are beautiful....I had a dreadful game today but on the bright side managed to get nearest the pin on the 16th...

After my golf game Pete and I drove down to Cowaramup....we managed to see the boys for a few hours before bed...

The last pennant game for the season....at Lake Karrinyup Country Club...it was freezing, most of us wore beanies...this is a photo of their excellent driving range.

Sunshine on the practice chipping green...

The first fairway...

I had never seen so much water in their lake...Pete and I missed all the rain while we were up North.

All their kangaroos were lying in the warm sunshine. The team lost again but it is always enjoyable playing at Karrinyup.

It was a complete and bright rainbow that we could see from our bedroom window.

And from all the upstairs windows...Pete and I are discovering many positives about having a two story home.

An early start for our pennant team at Lakelands Golf Course...sadly we lost.

Our last day...we had a delicious breakfast at the resort then decided the beach was where we would like to     spend an hour or so before going to the airport.

I could spend all day here....

So pretty...

and interesting...
