Morning walk to Cherry Lake...

Power lines through the tree... quite clever really...

View from Flinders Street station

Lunch in the city with Anne...we used to work together many years ago at the University Department of Medicine ...so good to catch up with her.

Enjoyed the train trip in and out of the city....

Pete and Monty met me at the train station, had a nice walk home in the sunshine.

Juno....who was quite timid when we first arrived....

....today she was very affectionate...she's very pretty too.

Morning walk...took umbrellas as it was drizzling...

Blue sky on the way home....Melbourne weather?!

One of the shops in the South Melbourne Market ....thanks for the tip Michelle and Chris, such a large variety of foods that we don't see in Perth...

Padre coffee....

...with a cannoli....

One of the fine old pubs in South Melbourne

Clarendon Street, South Melbourne

A visit to Made in Japan...we have some of their bowls but have never visited their shop...we loved wandering around ...such fabulous crockery and more.

We bought a few items ....some things to remind us of this trip.

South Melbourne Town Hall....

So many gorgeous old buildings...Pete and I were pleased to explore an area of Melbourne that we had never been to before.

These tall city buildings looked amazing against the darkening sky....

Monty in the car, on our way to Williamstown for an afternoon walk...he seemed to enjoy the ride.

Gloucester Reserve, Williamstown.

Morning walk to Altona Beach with Monty...so tranquil...

I love walking around the suburbs in Melbourne...no matter what season it is, there are always stunning flowers in people's front gardens. At the moment the azaleas are in full bloom.

So many delightful plants that I have never seen before...

There was a large bush full of these protea flowers in one rather small front yard...absolutely one of my favourite flowers.

....Lots of trees flowering as well.

Matilda Bay

...the beautiful Swan River

I had coffee at the Bayside Kitchen with Renate, Natalie and Sharan...lovely ladies that I used to work with for many years....we couldn't remember the last time that we were all together.

In the afternoon I had an appointment with Ashleigh my hairdresser....when we walked out of the salon I looked up and saw these stunning clouds...

Took a few more photos when I arrived home....the sky looked amazing...

Lauren and Lucy went to watch Jeremy's netball game....love this photo.

This is Lake Jackadder in Woodlands, the suburb next to Doubleview. I shop at the Farmer Jacks across the road and these men are often by the lake with their remote control yachts..it must have been a little difficult today as there was hardly any breeze. What a great hobby!

View to the ocean from the Royal Fremantle Golf course. A fabulous day for golf ( although mine wasn't so great) and a delicious lunch with some new friends.

Flynn's birthday was actually on the 16th but Tash thought it best to celebrate on Sunday....with both Todd and Will who will be at home. Tash posted this photo...it is so sweet, I love the way Will has his arm around his little brother and Ethan's and Flynn's big smiles.

Lauren and Lucy came for dinner. Lauren is one of Jeremy's best friends...they debated together when they were in high school. Lauren lives in Canberra and is over for a couple of weeks to visit her family.

Jeremy is quite confident nursing young babies...so many of his friends have had babies this year.

Look at that smile (Lucy's)...Paul took these photos for me...we had a most enjoyable night.

We were quite excited to see this seal on our walk this morning...one of the fishermen gave him a fish...

We hoped he wasn't hurt, he looked young.

After a swim and shower we had breakfast at the new restaurant overlooking City Beach. It is Jenny's 70th birthday on Wednesday and it is our tradition to celebrate big birthdays with a beach breakfast. We don't look too bad considering we didn't have a hairdryer.

More beach walking in the afternoon....with Pete this time...we were checking out the beaches closer to home. This is Brighton...

Only 5 to 10 minutes down the road...
