Today was a perfect day for golf, my first game in two weeks. I had a really nice time out on the course with Jane W, Lauren and Pam. Looking forward  to another game tomorrow.

We did a little sightseeing with Chris today. We went for a wander around Elizabeth Quay and found that it is now home to the replica of the Duyfken for three months of the year.

Although the trees around the quay are newly planted and still quite small, they were flowering beautifully.

The distinctive arches of the Quay.

After our relatively long walk we relaxed and had lunch at the Grovenor then a few hours watching the cricket at home before taking Chris to the airport. It has been lovely to have him over.

Jeremy is in London, staying at the Strand Palace Hotel...

He sent these photos through WhatsApp and I was so pleased as they came through to my new computer straight into iPhotos. Isn't he lucky to have such a bright blue sky ? He says the weather is his idea of perfection, cold but not wet and grey skies.

After another swim at the beach and a yummy lunch, we went out to Curtin University so I could show Pete and Chris the campus.

The Curtin Stadium..

On our way home we stopped off at Little Creatures for a drink and also Coast which had some wonderful views of the wild coast, as there was much more wind and swell since this morning. For  dinner we successfully cooked delicious pizzas on Pete's new pizza stone.

Christmas morning...and City Beach is packed. There was a huge swell. Pete and Chris are watching the waves.

Pete and Chris after a swim...

Out on the water you can see one of the new solar powered surface buoys, under which is a sonar shark detector. City is the first beach in WA to trial them.

After a relaxing morning , Pete, Chris and I went for a walk along the coast between Trigg and Mettam's Pool. The breeze was very strong and the water very choppy, the wind and kite surfers were having a great time.

Chris took this photo ...

Chris and Pete cooked dinner, beer can chicken on the barbecue and delicious potatoes roasted in duck fat. After dinner we took Jeremy out to the international airport to catch his flight to London.

Pete and I met Chris, Tash and Todd at South Cottesloe beach this morning. Chris had arrived last night and stayed at Tash and Todd's.

Because Tash and Todd are going down to Dunsborough tomorrow to celebrate with the Stokes family, we the Rich family celebrated Christmas today at Mandy and Graeme's house. Todd took this lovely photo of the five of us.

Another nice photo ....four very dear people in my life.

Sisters....I think we both enjoyed the day very much, the food, wine and conversation was fabulous.

I can't remember what was said but Pete must have found it funny.

After a very enjoyable day at Mandy's, Pete, Chris and I came home for a quiet evening and Chris transferred all my music and photos over to my new computer (Christmas present).

No swim this morning, three sharks had been sighted off the Floreat Groyne at about 8 am. The beach looked quite different with not a soul in the water.
