All good things must come to an end...after cleaning and packing our cars we all met out on the grass and admired the view for the last time. Then we had a group hug and said our goodbyes. I am so hoping I will see these ladies in the not too distant future.

Trish offered to drive me back to  Michelle's home in Brisbane but first she wanted me to see her home and dog in Caloundra and have a swim at her local beach.

Dicky Beach

What a treat to swim in the Pacific Ocean....I haven't swum in Queensland waters in 43 years and it was fabulous.

After Tai Chi I went on a morning walk through the rain forest surrounding the dam with Trish P, Narelle, Marianne and Trish K...

Then we all dressed in our glad rags and walked down the road to the  Flame Hill Winery for lunch.

The view from the winery was spectacular, you could see all the way to the ocean.

Not only did we four go to St Rita's, we were also in Grade 1 together at St Cecilia's Hamilton...Nanette, Christine and Donna. We had such fun recollecting the days spent at primary school.

After lunch some of us wrote in our little autograph books that Donna had made...just a sentence or two about our friendship... I thought it a lovely idea.

Another night of fun and laughter...here we all are cutting our 60th birthday cake.

Whilst at lunch, I received a msg that Chris had sold his (and Taryn's) house in Glenroy by auction. The house went for much more that they were expecting , I am so happy for them both....another bright spot in an already bright and happy day.

Trish K is a physiotherapist and also teaches Tai Chi, she very kindly conducted a class which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Shortly after our Tai Chi class, a few of us set off for a walk in Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. In the distance we had an excellent view of the Glasshouse Mountains.

Patricia K, me, Trish P and Lynne...enjoying our walk in the rain forest.

Sadly it was a very dry rain forest but still very interesting.

After lunch most of us went for a wander down the main street of Montville, the clock shop was a big attraction.

Then another walk through Kondalilla National Park....

Trish and I.....Trish was my best friend at high school...

Trish suggested that we take this walk this afternoon, the highlight being this rock pool.

Here we all are for our 70s night...we had such a hilarious time dressing up. Back row is from left...Lynne, Lisa, Sue, Narelle, Trish K,  Nanette, Jo, Donna and Chris K. Front row is Marianne, Trish P and Chris E.

Trish, Chris and Marianne trying to remember that song....their group won the 70s quiz.

Me in my outfit...

Sue, Trish, Lynne, Trish and Christine. Lots of fun was had by all...70s music, 70s food , wine and plenty of good cheer.

Last night I arrived in Brisbane. This morning Michelle and I went for an energetic walk around her suburb of Wavell Heights. I so enjoyed seeing all the old wooden houses that so remind me of my childhood.

...a walk through Kalinga Park before stopping for a coffee at her local.

Later in the afternoon Jo (an old school friend) picked me up to drive me to Montville where we will be spending the weekend with thirteen of my old St Rita's friends. We are here together to celebrate turning 60! Above is the view from the rather large and spacious house (lodge) that we have rented. The water is Baroon Pocket Dam.

...and this is the view from the front of the house...and the weather was perfect today.
