The Melbourne Town Hall this morning ....we were so pleased and proud to be able to attend Chris' Graduation. He was presented with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Outside the Town Hall....

After the Graduation we had a delicious lunch at the Builders Arms in Fitzroy with Chris and Michelle's friends, Ben and Renee.  It was Ben's birthday celebration and also his and Renee's wedding anniversary. I thought it was fabulous food and wonderful company.

An afternoon walk with Monty at the Altona Beach ....

A walk along the Kennet River ...we didn't see any koalas but there were lots of birds...

....and beautiful reflections....

Unfortunately it rained once we were back on the Great Ocean Road....

Pete and I were sad to leave Fyans Lake Holiday Park this morning. We hope to return as there are still so many walks we would like to do. The trip south  was  pleasant drive through the southern Grampions.

After leaving the National Park we entered very green farmland....sheep and cattle.

On our way to the coast we had morning tea at a little cafe in Camperdown....a town we had never visited before. There were many superb, old buildings....

These beautiful elm trees line the main highway through the town....quite a long way...

The Great Ocean Road....

Kennett River beach....we are staying in the Kennett River Caravan Park tonight. As I write this I can hear the waves.

Friendly birds outside our van....

A misty morning, clouds over the mountains...

A nice surprise to see the black swans...

Hollow Mountain....today's climb....

The walk started with a sandy track then a steep rocky rise.

Never a boring walk....such interesting trees, flowers, rocks...

Then we were scrambling...

...having a rest ....

Almost there....

As is often the case...it was so pretty at the top....looked like a landscaped garden....and the view was sensational.

....Hollow Mountain...this is where it gets its name...

... a much easier journey for me...

...met a rock climber who was full of information...

...the descent was much easier than the ascent...

...time to admire the flowers...

After lunch we visited The Grand Canyon....a short walk with plenty to see. Peter is tasting the water.

An easy walk with a bit of a climb....I enjoyed looking in the water at all the pretty rocks...

Our last stop today was Boroka Lookout which you can drive up to.....over looking Halls Gap and the Eastern Grampions. The lake in the distance is Fyans Lake.

Sometimes these trees remind us of Boronup Drive ...except their bark is darker...

This vibrant little flower is everywhere in the park...you often see a blanket of it under the forest trees...

Our final night at Lake Fyans...an unusual sunset tonight as a thunder storm was approaching....this is the calm before the storm.

Storm clouds....we stood on the beach watching the lightning for a while...
