First hole, par 4 WAGC...the first time my drive has made the green, I've been close but never actually on....it's the little things in life that bring the most happiness.

 

Nat, Cathy and I spotted this sculpture on our walk after lunch today...it is called Unfolding Lives" by Judith Forrest. It is a memorial to commemorate the thousands of West Australians who were abused as children in state care. It's modeled on the children's game that you make with folded paper.

Tash and I in the Duxton foyer....where we had a quiet drink with Todd and Pete before the Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell concert.

 

Today I was very excited to receive an email from Jeremy saying he had won the Golden Gavel Competition.... a public speaking competition for young lawyers.He now travels to Melbourne for the National Grand Final in October ... well done mate!

 

Our first fire for this winter, for our book club meeting this evening...so cosy.

An amazing cloud formation over the 11th green at our golf club, where I played in the Gloster James with Swanny, Jane and Les...a beautiful day.

 

A fisherman caught a salmon at Floreat Beach this morning....we haven't seen that before on a Saturday...

 

and a few hundred metres down the beach, this rather large and ugly fish had been washed up, I have no idea what sort of fish it is but it was quite striking in appearance.
