Raindrops falling from the beautiful flowers of a Brachychiton tree..... walking to work....

My number two bookclub members (or my young bookclub)..me, Tash Jackie and Carol at the back and Cathy, Claire and Natalie, seated in the front. We had a fabulous final night for 2016 discussing "The Night Circus" and enjoying the food and wine that everyone brought.

Our course has ninety-eight bunkers so one does have to be able to play bunkers well to have a good game at Yokine. In this bunker on the 5th hole is my friend Shirley who has just celebrated her 75th birthday, and she still plays on a 25 handicap. She and I played with Pete and John and Shirley, Pete and I all played one below our handicap, and it was a stroke round,so very happy.

These are a couple of photos that I took at the Kris Kringle party tonight. Above are Julie, Natasha and Margot and below are the hosts, Laura and Steve ....it was a great night, wonderful food, good conversation and best of all, some dancing.

....Curtin University

It was a beautiful still morning at golf this morning, all our jacarandas were looking spectacular but this one on the first green was the prettiest.

Would you believe we have a kangaroo on the course? We were so surprised when we saw it on the 11th this morning, none of us have any idea where it came from.

Dear sweet Rusty sitting up so straight and still (hoping for a little nibble!)...Tash and Todd made some excellent pizzas this evening in their new Weber Q, and shared a nice bottle of red with me too.

Another Christmas celebration, this time it's the beach walkers breakfast...Pauline, Marjolijn, Maree, me, Julie, Margot and Juliet (Mandy kindly took the photo). Everyone brought tasty dishes to share and Julie brought the champagne. Happy days.

More Christmas celebrations...this evening I went to Kailis' restaurant with my new work mates for our end of year celebration. It was a very pleasant evening and nice to get to know some of them a little better. West Leederville was packed, took this photo of one of the lovely old buildings, looking especially beautiful with all the lights shining.
