Tash and Pete outside St Mary's Cathedral before the concert...Faure'sRequiem...performed by the WASO Chorus. Pete and I sang in a performance of this work many years ago, it is such a beautiful piece of music. We all enjoyed the concert and it was a beautiful venue on such a sunny autumn day, lots of glass to let the sunlight in. Thank you Tash and Todd for a wonderful Christmas present.

Only the three of us this morning. It was Margot's birthday and Julie's first Saturday back after 6 weeks in South America. Mandy is in New York, Pauline in Shanghai, Marjolijn in Denmark WA and Juliet is in Europe...we are such a well travelled group.

Walking along the beach is more interesting in winter...this morning there were many sponges washed up and some were so large.

After Pete and I visited Dean we stopped in at the Rockingham foreshore for lunch.

Pete and I saw a wonderful performance by the WA Ballet Company of Don Quixote this evening at His Majesty's. It has been a long time since we have seen such a traditional ballet performed. We loved it.

Ah winter is coming...cold and raining at the beach this morning...

A lovely photo of Lucian, Carlo and Jeremy that Phil texted from Sydney. Jeremy went over for work for a week but managed to catch up with Phil, Carlo, Macario and Lucian.

What an exciting day today was. Teresa and I came runners up and Sue and Jane were the winners of the Foursomes Championships. Teresa and I won 3/2 against Veronica and Robyn on Tuesday and then we also won this morning 2/1 against Jan and Jenny. After a quick 20 minutes for lunch we went out to play Sue and Jane. The much better players won on the day 4/3 but Teresa and I were thrilled with our achievement of getting into the finals.
