An overcast, cool day today...stopped at Ocean Grove beach on our walk home from a local cafe where we had breakfast.

Tide way out...

Drove west towards Torquay stopping at beaches along the way.

Torquay....stunning cliffs in the distance...

....surfers everywhere....a really pretty coastline...

After saying goodbye to Chris and Michelle, Pete and I set off for a long walk from Ocean Grove beach to the river mouth.  This is what Ocean Grove beach looks like when the tide is way in. All the kids were on their surf boards.

Lots of seagulls....at the mouth of the Barwon river...

On our return a little over an hour later the tide was on its way out again at Ocean Grove. I really loved this part of the world.

Chris and Michelle arrived down in Ocean Grove last night, so great to see them. Although it was windy and cool today we managed to do some sight seeing...behind is 13th Beach...

I took this from Pt Lonsdale...ship entering Port Phillip Bay

Another little beach near Pt Lonsdale, very wild surf.

Windy at Pt Lonsdale...

The jetty at Queenscliff...back in time...

This evening Michelle's parents Brad and Halina drove down to have dinner with us. We had a most enjoyable evening....not sure what the joke was but love all the smiling faces.

I spent the day at the golf today. Crowds following Su Oh who was leading at the time....

Su, Marianne Scarpnord and Paula Creamer ...

Pete and Gareth....enjoyed watching them too.

This is what the golf course looked like driving in this morning....so much fog! Play was delayed, to I dropped Pete there and went and took some photos, taking advantage of the lack of wind.

The fog lifted pretty quickly but the river and ocean were so still...under a small jetty on the Barwon River looking out towards the Bluff.

The bridge over the Barwon.

From the Bluff...looks very different to yesterday.

13th Beach with the tide way out...

I went for a stroll along the beach...

Later at the golf....Karrie Webb...

Minjee Lee...

Su Oh who played very well....it was really interesting to be able to be so close to the players.

Pete and Gareth...

Another after dinner walk....just love this beach...

Poinst Lonsdale lighthouse....While Pete was at the golf caddying, I went exploring again.

I think I have a thing for jetties...this one is at Point Lonsdale.

It was a lovely walk around the point with the tide out.

Next stop was Queenscliff, such a pretty beach...Pt Lonsdale in the distance.

Queenscliff township was just gorgeous, some beautiful old buildings...

The main street...

On my way home, finally saw the Barwon River with the tide in and the sun out....

....and also our beach looking lovely. It is amazing how the waves roll in....

Ocean Grove beach this morning....tide is out...

While Pete was at the golf course with Gareth, I went off and did some exploring. This photo was taken from the bridge over the Barwon River...That's the Bluff  of Barwon Heads in the distance.

I walked up the Bluff and this was the view...

...the walking track continues around the Bluff...and I went down to the beach...

Back up on the track heading away from the Bluff...

Looking towards 13th Beach...

On my return I did some walking at the base of the bluff...

While I was exploring, Pete was at the 13th Beach Golf course with Gareth...

After dinner Pete and I walked along the beach...the sand is so fine, the reflections are excellent...

...lots of bivalve tracks...

...a stunning sunset...

...time to go home, what a beach!
