This afternoon I picked up my dear friend Patricia from the airport. Trish and I went to high school together in Brisbane and have only seen eachother a few times over the last 40 years. We had a fabulous afternoon catching up and then a very enjoyable dinner with Pete, Jeremy, Tash and Todd. After dinner we drove Trish to Rockingham to meet up with her Brisbane friends and they were going off to do the Cape to Cape walk.

Pete and I went to Mandurah for the weekend to play golf in a competition at the Mandurah Country Club. Danielle kindly invited us to stay with her and Adrienne, these photos were taken in their beautiful home. We had a really enjoyable couple of days, pretty good golf and very good company.

My fellow pennant players and I were waiting to tee off when we spotted this chap and his little companions. I love playing the courses that have kangaroos, they are always so entertaining. Sadly we lost today against Cottesloe.

Mardi, Anne, Angie with me on the new balcony of our clubhouse...today was Opening Day for the male and female members, glorious weather and fun day.

After golf Pete and I headed down to Cottesloe Beach to see "Sculptures by the Sea" ....

Not surprisingly, this was my favourite...

People out on the groyne viewing sculptures .....

One of Pete's favourites...

As the sun set, hundreds of lorikeets flew around the many trees along the coast at Cottesloe...the noise was astounding...

Busselton Golf Course....so different to a city course...I thoroughly enjoyed my games and had a wonderful weekend.

Sunday, 13 March 2016

Helen and Majella and myself, before playing at the Busselton course, a perfect morning for golf.

Beautiful gardens surround our apartment...

After golf, we went for a swim in the bay, then in the pool and finished with a dip in the spa, a delightful way to spend the afternoon.

The crowded dining room at the Busselton Golf Club, where we all watched the Busselton ladies put on their show....always very entertaining.

Ladies from WAGC, Glenda, Jane, Angie, Lee, Alison and Jan...

Lyn and Mardi....Mardi had the lowest gross score for the day.

This weekend I am down in Busselton for the Geographe Ladies golf tournament. I'm staying at the Forte Cape View apartments, right on the water at Geographe Bay, with Judith, Lyn, Valerie, Shirley, Jane E, Jane W and Sue.  After the drive down, we went for a very pleasant beach walk., the bay looked stunning.  I must remember to take the sunnies off!

Today was our 34th wedding anniversary. Pete and I played an early game of golf with Janine and Greg , followed by lunch at the club. In the evening we went to see the House Gospel Choir at the Chevron Gardens...it was quite different to what I expected (me, not knowing what "house" music was ?!) but we enjoyed the performance.

The new Perth City library opened today. It is in Hay Street at Cathedral Square and I was thrilled to finally be able to see inside.

There are 7 levels, this is the view from the third level.

View from the second level, looking up...

St George's Cathedral on the south side of the building...

A green wall and little stream running on the east side.....

The ground floor, entrance area looking out to the old Treasury buildings, now a posh hotel...

And this is how it looks out the front...sensational, isn't it?!
