My school friend  Trish picked me up this morning from Michelle's. I am staying with her on the north coast for a couple of days. Whilst down in Brisbane Trish and I caught up with her 90 year old mum and took her out to coffee. Then up to Shorncliffe where I used to go for our primary school annual picnics.

The highlight of the day was a boat ride to Bribie Island with a couple of Trisha's friends.

I had a great time shopping with Michelle at Indooroopilly shopping centre.

After breakfast Pete drove me to the airport....landed in Brisbane after a very short while. Pete stayed in Sydney to caddy for Gareth. From Sydney's maisonettes to old Queenslanders here in Brisbane....Michelle and I went for walk (I had been sitting, eating and drinking for most of the day). 

Just love that I am here whilst the poincianas are in blume.

Today was pretty much a perfect day. It began with pancakes at an Israeli bakery with Pete, Phil and Carlo.

A few hours shopping in Westfield at Bondi Junction. Harry Hartog would probably be one of my favourite book shops.

A swim in the afternoon....not a good photo as there was quiet a lot of smoke from the bush fires in the west.

...and finally Pete and I went to the Opera House to see the Australian Ballet Company perform The Nutcracker....
