Crazy photo I took this morning on our way to breakfast....almost too much reflection...and there was no sunshine....but the water was so still...

Our cabin which we are really enjoying...

The best breakfast so far....yoghurt, granola, oats, raisins, prunes, fresh fruit....etc...as well as smoked salmon, humus, beetroot, pickles, cheese, veggies, cottage cheese and lots more...I try everything.

fried eggs, sausages and scrambled eggs...

Terrific coffee and sweeties...(we don't have much lunch)

Our cabin, the first and others on the waterfront...

After breakfast we spent some time looking around Reine...it wasn't cold but a little drizzle..

The mountains are everywhere....

The construction of wooden poles on the left is where the fishermen hang their fish to dry in the summer months...it is then known as stockfish. They have been drying fish here for centuries and it is still being exported to other countries as well as being eaten by Norwegians.

Quite common these flowers, gorgeous...

Reine from a distance...

As we were walking past a young couple, they pointed out the Orca whales in the ocean...we watched them for a while and also chatted to the friendly Norwegian couple. The seagulls were flying all around the whales. The ocean was like glass and a beautiful silver colour.

We visited some of the towns near by ...Sorvagen...

It is amazing how much water runs through the towns....

We enjoyed a walk along the coast near the town of Moskenes...

...see the people....

Seagull nests in some of the older buildings...

Senja  to Reine

An early morning walk before breakfast...

Pete and I had a giggle when we saw this....

On the road to the Lofoten archipelago ....

The Bergsbotn mountain range and the Bergsbotn Fjord....stunning in the morning light...we are still on Senja Island.

Nature's beauty everywhere...

Seeing more of the little rivers....the water is pretty cold but so clear ...

Storoya...a much larger town than those we have seen in the last few days...

This is Flakstadoya Island...

Almost there...

The view from our cabin on the water , part of Reine Rorbuer Hotel.

And inside is so cosy and comfortable. I went to bed quite excited, looking forward to the next day in Reine.

Bergen  to  Senja Island

Our hotel in Bergen...at 5.30am...Pete and I left the hotel for the airport to catch a flight to Tromso in the north of Norway...

Our plane had propellors....it was a short trip, just over an hour...

We picked up another car from the airport and headed south to Senja Island...it was a warm and sunny day,  the next few photos were taken between Tromso and Senja....

I wasn't expecting snow on the mountains...nor did I think they would be so big...

The water in the fiords was so clear...I loved walking along the water's edge and looking at the rocks...

They were so colourful....could have spent hours looking at them...

Another car ferry ride to Senja Island...

Almost at our destination....Mefjordvaer...a small fishing village.

These mountains on the right were probably the most astounding scene that we had seen all day.

Unreal....unbelievable...they were huge and looked so two dimensional...we were lucky to see them with the afternoon sun shining on them.

The view from our village across the fiord...

The village was surrounded by mountains and water...

On our walk after dinner Pete and I spotted these cute little seagulls...

Lots of seagulls....not surprising...it's a fishing village.

Fjaerland to Bergen

A cloudy, very still morning in Fjaerland....

We left this wonderful place after breakfast this morning ....a long drive back to Bergen.

Lovely reflections even though there was no sunshine...it felt incredibly calm.

Fjaerland....I took this photo from the other side of the fiord.

Had to catch yet another ferry.....this one was much bigger than those that we have been on...there were so many cars and camper vans on the road this morning, it's the beginning of the school holidays this weekend.

Big ship...bigger mountains...

Honestly I haven't fiddled with this photo...that is how those mountains looked...they reminded me of scrunched alfoil....really weird.

This was a beautiful view...near the town of Voss

We arrived in Bergen in the afternoon ....dropped our bags at our hotel, took the car to be charged and then returned it to the hire company. We walked back to the hotel and saw this on our way...interesting, we thought.

Apartments....

A striking mural...

A large seagull....there are so many in Norway and they are huge...I guess it is because they have so much surrounding water. Going to bed early tonight as we have an early flight tomorrow to Tromso in Northern Norway.
