Pete and I have come down south to celebrate Todd's 40th birthday. Fortunately the Margaret River Region Open Studios is happening this and next weekend. This morning we went and visited several of the artists' studios....

Our first stop was Stefanie Stokes' Ceramics studio in Dunsborough.....and these flowers were in the centre of an absolutely beautiful studio...

I just loved her pottery ....the whole room was stunning ...

Our next visit was to Kim Kiosses' studio...Kim is an Aboriginal artist and her work was astounding ...her work has intricate detail....

...like Stefanie Stokes, Kim presented her art so tastefully ...of course these artists have a flare for interior design ...

Happs Commonage Pottery... a quite famous attraction down south, a place Pete and I have visited several times over the years. Now there are exhibitions of work by Gary Hambleton, Colin Pratt and Jenny Taylor.

We had fun with Flynn in the afternoon at the Busselton foreshore playground while Tash had a hair appointment.  He is such a happy child.

Even happier with an ice cream....he didn't spill a drop on his clothes ....Dad taught him how to eat an ice cream...

Before bed stories with Dad....

On the road to Dunsborough ....the acacias in full bloom ....

...and plenty of yellow daisies amongst the grass....

After settling in at Mandy and Graeme's house Pete and I went for an afternoon walk along the foreshore...

Cheap and Cheerful get-together was at our place this evening ...Pete and I invited our neighbours Jen and Phillip to join us . After champagne and nibbles at Alice Street, we all walked to the Italian restaurant Al Fornetto ....15 minutes away. After our delicious meal we walked home and had coffee and dessert at our house. The other guests were Mandy, Graeme, Margot, Adele, Julie, Brian, Christine and Jeff. Fabulous night.
