It was such a lovely day today, Pete and I decided to take Monty walking in Williamstown. He had a fine time at Point Gellibrand Coastal Heritage Park...the view was pretty good too.

Two cute little renovated houses overlooking the park and bay...

Had a little rest and a takeaway coffee at L.E. Burgoyne Reserve...

After our rest we headed off to the water front and the town. Look at that sky!

On our walk along Gem Pier....

Lots of wonderful smells for Monty.

Community Reserve...was packed with people celebrating Father's Day....I just love all the gorgeous old buildings and shops...they call it Strand Ward.

Pete's favourite two houses...they have views over the bay...

Another great photo of Michelle and Chris in Florence... so glad they are having a ball.

A couple of gorgeous photos that Tash posted...the very photogenic Flynn...

Will and Ethan working together...and a view of the stunning flowers in their back yard. I know I am biased but they are such handsome lads.

Monty, without the leash on one of the large sports grounds near Cherry Lake.  He surprised Pete and me, he can run sooo fast!

Monty in action....

Cherry Lake...on a sunny morning...

This afternoon, Pete and I caught the train into the city...such a gorgeous day...

We are in the city to see the Sydney Dance Company .....had a wine before the show, sat and people watched...

Inside the Playhouse Theatre...

So many amazing paintings, painted by First Nation's people...

This is a tapestry !!!!

The Sydney Dance Company...they were awesome....wonderful music and extraordinary choreography...loved it.

Pete and I are really enjoying this quiet break...we would never sit down and read for hours in the middle of the day...

Soooo cute...

Now that we know Monty is so good in the car we decided to take him somewhere where we had never been for his afternoon walk. Seaholme was where we went...

Another part of this great Port Phillip Bay...

Pelicans...

....enjoyable walk...the sky was beautiful and the sun was out but that southern breeze was freezing!

Michelle and Chris left us a list of bars and restaurants to visit if we felt so inclined. In the late afternoon we drove to Hudson's Road Wine and Beer...a quiet, small wine bar in Spotswood, excellent wine and food...and of course good company.

I absolutely love this photo that Chris and Michelle sent us...in  Trafalgar Square...

Lunch in the city with Anne...we used to work together many years ago at the University Department of Medicine ...so good to catch up with her.

Enjoyed the train trip in and out of the city....

Pete and Monty met me at the train station, had a nice walk home in the sunshine.

Juno....who was quite timid when we first arrived....

....today she was very affectionate...she's very pretty too.

Morning walk...took umbrellas as it was drizzling...

Blue sky on the way home....Melbourne weather?!

One of the shops in the South Melbourne Market ....thanks for the tip Michelle and Chris, such a large variety of foods that we don't see in Perth...

Padre coffee....

...with a cannoli....

One of the fine old pubs in South Melbourne

Clarendon Street, South Melbourne

A visit to Made in Japan...we have some of their bowls but have never visited their shop...we loved wandering around ...such fabulous crockery and more.

We bought a few items ....some things to remind us of this trip.

South Melbourne Town Hall....

So many gorgeous old buildings...Pete and I were pleased to explore an area of Melbourne that we had never been to before.

These tall city buildings looked amazing against the darkening sky....

Monty in the car, on our way to Williamstown for an afternoon walk...he seemed to enjoy the ride.
