Breakfast .....

Not a kindy day today for Flynn ...

Pete, Tash, Flynn and I visited this wonderful plant nursery this morning ..."Everyday Potted Plants" in Forest Grove...this banksia was enormous and so healthy looking....

I thought the nursery was one of the best I had ever visited ...they had so many plants that I had never seen before...and such a beautiful setting , surrounded by glorious bush.

Nearby was the small town of  Witchcliffe where we stopped at a comfortable cafe , "Yardbyrd" ...we sat outside in the sunshine ...Tash is shuffling the cards ....that we played with.

Flynn found another treasure that he thought was interesting in the Witchcliffe Secondhand shop...

Today while the boys went to school and Tash
had to teach...Pete and I walked some of the Cape To Cape trail just north of Cowaramup Bay...there were stunning views along the way...a great recommendation from Tash.

We also drove down to where Margaret River runs into the ocean...almost...

So tranquil but you could still hear the waves crashing on the beach....

Such a lovely walk along the river...

Pete and I are spending a few days down in Cowaramup before we go to Melbourne...

Angus' dad Ryan joined in ....

...and Todd...Dads vs Kids...how great is it to live at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac....

 

Another beautiful winter's day in Perth....Scarborough and Brighton Beaches...

 

Phil had some free time today to catch up with Pete and me. He thought a swim at City Beach would be nice...so I joined him...

It was a lovely sunny afternoon but the ocean was wild and unfortunately there was some seaweed.

But it was exhilarating....

After a warm shower and a coffee that Pete bought for us ....we drove down to Fremantle...

...had a walk along Port Beach ....we were a bit sad to see how much erosion had occurred over the winter.

We saw osprey at Hillarys Boat Harbour....

We climbed the Hillarys Boat harbour Lighthouse...

Happy couple...such an enjoyable afternoon ...

 

Phil came to dinner tonight....he is Perth for work...so lovely to see him.
