Another morning on Bondi Beach....Pete swam his 20 laps in the Icebergs pool....I swam between the flags...wonderful start to the day...





Pete, Phil and I visited the East Sydney Technical College to see an art exhibition. The Tech College was an historic vocational and art school that operated on the former Darlinghurst Gaol site in Sydney from 1921 until it transitioned into the National Art School in 1996. The Darlinghurst Gaol opened in 1841 and closed in 1914.


There were such beautiful buildings ....







The Margaret Olley 
exhibition was our reason for visiting the College....


This is William Dobell's Archibald Prize -winning portrait of Margaret Olley. It is widely regarded as one of he defining portraits in Australian Art. It was painted in 1948.



Margaret Olley was born in 1923. This painting "Calendulars" was painted in 1969

The Sydney Harbour Bridge...Pete, Phil and went for  a walk in The Rocks District...

...had a delicious lunch at "Begian Cafe" excellent food and service..it was lovely sitting out in the sunshine...


....walking back to the car, admiring the old buildings...

...quite a few of these around Sydney...they are quite tame too...


Ice cream after our dinner at Society Pizza Bar, Bondi Beach. Macario had dinner with us .
