This is what the golf course looked like driving in this morning....so much fog! Play was delayed, to I dropped Pete there and went and took some photos, taking advantage of the lack of wind.

The fog lifted pretty quickly but the river and ocean were so still...under a small jetty on the Barwon River looking out towards the Bluff.

The bridge over the Barwon.

From the Bluff...looks very different to yesterday.

13th Beach with the tide way out...

I went for a stroll along the beach...

Later at the golf....Karrie Webb...

Minjee Lee...

Su Oh who played very well....it was really interesting to be able to be so close to the players.

Pete and Gareth...

Another after dinner walk....just love this beach...

Poinst Lonsdale lighthouse....While Pete was at the golf caddying, I went exploring again.

I think I have a thing for jetties...this one is at Point Lonsdale.

It was a lovely walk around the point with the tide out.

Next stop was Queenscliff, such a pretty beach...Pt Lonsdale in the distance.

Queenscliff township was just gorgeous, some beautiful old buildings...

The main street...

On my way home, finally saw the Barwon River with the tide in and the sun out....

....and also our beach looking lovely. It is amazing how the waves roll in....

Ocean Grove beach this morning....tide is out...

While Pete was at the golf course with Gareth, I went off and did some exploring. This photo was taken from the bridge over the Barwon River...That's the Bluff  of Barwon Heads in the distance.

I walked up the Bluff and this was the view...

...the walking track continues around the Bluff...and I went down to the beach...

Back up on the track heading away from the Bluff...

Looking towards 13th Beach...

On my return I did some walking at the base of the bluff...

While I was exploring, Pete was at the 13th Beach Golf course with Gareth...

After dinner Pete and I walked along the beach...the sand is so fine, the reflections are excellent...

...lots of bivalve tracks...

...a stunning sunset...

...time to go home, what a beach!

Today we flew to Melbourne, hired a car then drove to Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula. This is our first view of the beach, only a 5 minute walk from where we are staying.

Our dear cousin Corrado arrived in Perth this afternoon. He is the first of our Italian relatives to journey to Perth ( he came to Australia for a conference in Adelaide). This evening we had a wonderful meal at Mandy and Gra's with Paul and Jeremy. Mandy and I are wearing the lovely pashmina's Corrado brought for us from Uzbekistan where he sometimes works.
