30/6/19 Day 5 On the road Melbourne to Rawson

Pete and I were a little sad to say goodbye to
Melbourne and especially to Chris and Michelle.
We were however excited to take off in our van
to Sydney via the coast road.

Travelling through Yarra Glen...grapevines
everywhere...

....love country roads...

Entering the foothills of the Yarra Ranges...Little Yarra Road... it so reminds us of Boronup
Forrest.

stopped for lunch.

We can’t believe how green the grass is!

The little town of Erica...

Here’s where we are staying tonight...Rawson
Caravan Park....we don’t think anyone else is
here. It’s bloody freezing but so worth getting out of the van to see the stars and the tall dark trees reaching towards the sky.

29/6/2019 Day 4 Melbourne

It’s a rainy day in Melbourne today...we are
waiting outside our apartment for Chris and
Michelle who are taking us out for breakfast.

After breakfast Pete and I visited the NGV and
saw the Hans and Nora Heysen Exhibition. The painting above is one of my favourites by Hans.

Above are some of the stunning paintings by
Nora Heysen, Hans’ daughter.

We wandered around the city as we had a
couple of shops we wanted to visit....Melbourne on a winter’s day is actually quite beautiful.

Luckily we made it home before it poured in the
late afternoon.... this photo was taken from our
apartment window...the Eagles were playing at
the MCG.

Chris and I after a really delicious meal that he
and Michelle cooked for us...
