WAGC Ladies' Xmas Party Day

The theme this year was "sports"...the karate women are Margaret, Lorenz, Pauline and Jenny...

How good do they look?! These ladies have just moved up to play 18 holes from the 9 hole competitions. Nellie, Jenny, Romana and Anne are sports commentators...they won the prize for best dressed.

Jane, Janine, Jenny and I are obviously cricketers. Being four of the smaller people in the club we realised that we could have dressed up as jockeys.

Idris, our green keeper and his team set up a very challenging and interesting course of par 3s for us...you can just see the various obstacles on the putting green. 

Santa's helper Majella handed out lollies to all the players.

Glenda, Kerrie and Lee had the prosecco. Lee being one of the organisers of the day.

After lunch was the viewing of costumes....Jan Harman was the judge. I thought these ladies, who are all rather new to the club, were clever to find these short dresses ...volley ball players!

Would you believe that we had two groups that dressed up as shuttlecocks...hilarious.

The Greek olympians...quite an original idea....Lyn is hiding behind her flame...the others are Lisa, Linda and Heather.

And here we have the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team...Lee, Belinda, Glenda A. and Glenda J.

As always our Xmas Party Day was a blast!

 

Our ladies' Christmas party is on Thursday and a group of us are performing a skit. We met this morning at the ridiculous time ...6.30 am...to rehearse...we had so many laughs...

We are dancing....we hope.

Celebrating WA Senior Women in Golf ....our final game together for 2023...beautiful weather, very enjoyable company and a delicious lunch....

....I"m in the front of course with fellow shorties...they are a great bunch of ladies, some with awesome handicaps...and all are passionate about their golf.

A visit to the Berry Farm...great coffee and cakes and delicious homemade ice cream with berries. Ethan and Will couldn't finish theirs but Flynn ate until his cup was empty. 

...there were three playgrounds for the kids to enjoy.

The gardens were stunning....and this was something I had never seen before ...an artichoke flower.
