Fyans Lake looked quite different this morning with the blue sky above....

Our first walk into the mountain range....on our way to the Silverband Falls.

Beautiful ferns...

Reid Lookout....a wonderful view of the  National Park ...only a short walk from the car park.

This track was a gentle climb from the carpark through rock outcrops and a stringybark  forest ...on our way to The Balconies Lookout. There were some amazing rock formations.

The Balconies...a fabulous lookout with panoramic views over the Victoria Valley.

On our walk back to the van we spotted this echidna ...always exciting to see one.

A cute little fairy wren appeared when we stopped for lunch.

Our next stop was McKenzie Falls....there are several ...

It was a steep walking track to the base of the falls but it was well worth it.

A climb up to the falls lookout was worthwhile too...

After dinner we went for a walk by the lake...so calm...

I just love these trees by the lake....

Monty and I went for a walk this morning ....This was one of the street trees...absolutely stunning...

He is so charming....

Pete picked up our van today...Michelle and Monty thought it was quite comfortable...

It was wonderful to spend time with Chris and Michelle...they have really spoilt us...looking forward to seeing them at the end of the week.

Food and clothing all packed in the van....off we go to The Grampians National Park....

So lucky to hire an almost brand new van....

In the late afternoon we arrived at the Lake Fyans Holiday Park...the park is right next to the lake and we are very close to the National Park.

Southern Cross Station in Melbourne...

One of Melbourne's new apartment buildings....

Beautiful day...on our way to the DFO.

Still one of my favourite buildings...love the old and the new...

We started a puzzle....there were a few laughs...

So much seaweed the beach this morning....not surprising as there were nine metre swells this past week.
There was lots in the water too, made for an uncomfortable swim.
