Tash and Rusty came over this evening for dinner whilst Todd and Brad were at the ACDC concert down the road. Mandy, Gra and Jeremy joined us for lamb on the barbeque. We could hear the concert very well from our house!

Yallingup Beach...on our final day, our last swim....

Unlike yesterday there was a huge swell....

On our way home I took this photo of the famous Dunsborough Bakery.  After a rather eventful drive home dodging bushfires we went to Ash and Jo's home for a very pleasant ddinner with Todd, Tash, Brad and Nerida  to catch up and to celebrate Tasha's birthday.

My Saturday morning swim was at Yallingup this morning. Surprisingly, there was no swell and with little breeze the water was very calm.

After the Yallingup swim, we decided to go for a look at Sugarloaf Rock.  A trip down south isn't the same without a visit to Sugarloaf. Pete and I climbed down the northern side of the look out, something we hadn't done before and were rewarded with a rather different and more rugged view of the rock.

We couldn't believe how calm the ocean was and for the first time we went for a swim in the sheltered rock pools in front of the rock. It was sensational.

Dramatic views using my zoom.

Later in the day , we swam at Picquet  Beach, the water was still clear and calm.

Ended the day with a relaxing wine with Chris and Juliet at their place.

This is Gnoocardup Beach....Pete and I walked part of the Cape to Cape.

Our own private beach, with some decent little waves to catch and crystal clear water. That's Cape Mentelle in the distance.

Further on...

Three natural springs dripping water onto the sand...

Our destination..  ....Joey's Nose , a prominant boxy limestone rock extending out over Kilcamup Beach. The cliff looks a bit like a Joey's nose....

In the afternoon we went for a bike ride along the foreshore all the way from the National Park at the end of Old Dunsborough to the new bridge that has been built over Toby's Inlet in Quindalup.

Every day that we have been walking I have told Pete to "Watch out for the snakes". Today we finally saw one, on the bike path. We think it was a dugite. They give me the creeps.
