My first paddle board experience....and gosh it was good fun. Today was our work Christmas picnic , down at Matilda Bay foreshore. Kevin bought his paddle boards and some of us had a try, none of us had ever paddled before. We were lucky it was such a beautiful day and the water was very calm.

It was so peaceful , paddling out in the deeper water....I really appreciated what a beautiful river and city we have.

 

A rather unusual looking red flowering gum, near our driving range....Pete and I played in the mixed foursomes today. It was a really enjoyable game with Jess and Gerry and Lyn and Mick. Jess and Gerry came runners-up for the net and Pete and I came third in the gross. After the game we went to Helen's house for our Christmas get together with my italian class friends and their husbands. As always it was a delightful afternoon with good friends.

 

 

In the evening Pete, Jeremy and I had dinner at Tash and Todd's. They cooked us a splendid meal on their new Weber BBQ and we all watched the uncut video of the wedding that Phil took. It was amazing, he has done a fabulous job and I think it is something that Tash and Todd will treasure . Rusty wasn't too interested.

Our end of year beach breakfast this morning ....so nice to see Maree....I don't think I mentioned it in the blog before but she broke her leg in the surf one saturday morning weeks ago, but she is recovering well. [Maree, Marjolijn, Juliet, Mandy, Margot, Julie and Pauline]

Mardi, me, Pam and Judith on the course today...since we all owned the same skirt we decided to play together and wear the skirt and different coloured shirts... we created a bit of a stir!

On my way to the State Library to borrow some music....Perth Railway Station with the city behind... the sky really was that blue.

 

It wasn't the weather we expected for the first Saturday of summer.

We had just finished our swim and the rain came....we ran up and took cover under the almost finished surf club.

 

It is a huge building, looked very stark today though.
