The new Perth City library opened today. It is in Hay Street at Cathedral Square and I was thrilled to finally be able to see inside.

There are 7 levels, this is the view from the third level.

View from the second level, looking up...

St George's Cathedral on the south side of the building...

A green wall and little stream running on the east side.....

The ground floor, entrance area looking out to the old Treasury buildings, now a posh hotel...

And this is how it looks out the front...sensational, isn't it?!

The ladies are putting on the 9th green before teeing off in this year's WAMBAM, midweek ladies versus Saturday ladies competition. Luckily the weather was cooler and everyone had an enjoyable day (the Saturday ladies more than us midweek ladies).

Looking down the 18th fairway from the clubhouse.

Missy Higgins in concert at the J Shed in Fremantle, which is a new venue overlooking Bather's Beach and behind the Roundhouse. Missy sang her heart out, Pete, Tash and I loved her ...it was a much appreciated Christmas present from Tash and Todd.

The audience listening to Magda Szubanski being interviewed at the Octagon, part of the Writers Festival....fabulous!

Claire, Carol, Angela, Cathy (above), Natasha and I absolutely loved hearing Magda speak about her book after we had enjoyed a yummy picnic dinner together on the lawn outside the theatre

Perth Writers Festival at the University of Western Australia....

After a very enjoyable day at the Writers Festival, Pete and I slipped in to town and had a quick meal at one of the stalls at the Forrest Place food markets. We then saw another terrific Fringe show at the Cultural Centre, four young ladies called Gin and Tonic.

Cranes and clouds....A beautiful sky this morning, I noticed on the way to work . The new hotel Westin is being built on the old City fire station site.

Cathy, Rob and Jade Bondonno, having a picnic dinner before the movie "Sherpa" with Pete and I at the Joondalup Pines Outdoor cinema. We had a delightful night, warm weather, good company and a wonderful movie.
