Moving day for the Stokes family today. The truck came at 6.30 am and once loaded it headed for Cowaramup and so did Todd and Rusty. While Jo and Ash minded the little boys Tash, Pete and I cleaned the house and tidied the garden. We finished at about 4pm and had a swim and a champagne to celebrate...the Stokes family move to their new home and our purchase of a new home. 

 

Pete and I tried to keep the boys occupied today so Tash and Todd could pack for the big move tomorrow. Flynn loved getting into the boxes and baskets.

While Ethan and Will were having their quiet time, Pete and I took Flynn and Rusty to the park. He's a big boy now, going down the slide by himself.

We had 60 couples come and look at the home opens and then four offers...all this in one week. So, now it is sold and we can start getting ready for the move....we are extremely happy and excited. It has been our home for 39 years and we have many, many good memories of all that took place in this house.

Our final Committee meeting this afternoon on the balcony at the Club...there will be a new Committee next year. Nigel (our House Manager) served us delicious cold champagne and delectable nibbles. Nicole (our Golf Manager) took this selfie...and she and the General manager Damien joined us for a drink or two. We are so lucky to have such efficient and friendly staff at our club.

We were all pleased that Mandy could join us for our walk and swim. Isn't her towel fabulous?!

After dinner we opened our presents. This year we had to buy something from an Op shop...here Margot is sitting on Santa Graeme's lap opening her present from under the tree.

A wonderful night

Jeremy and his friend Teresa at a BHP/Freehills client event last night. Teresa was a Senior Associate  when Jeremy first started working at Allens. Now she is a Special Council at Freehills and Jeremy is very proud of her.

He is growing up so quickly...has a wonderful personality.

The Teletubbies...Angie, Anne, Judith and Marjorie...we all have to play in out outfits...luckily is was a reasonably cool day for the Teletubbies.

This evening was our final book club No1 get together for 2022. These were the books that we read this year...all very good reads...Hamnet was the most popular.

 

WAGC looking its best for the "WA Celebrating Seniors in Golf" Event today.

Even the sky put on a show for our visitors from all over the city and some from country towns as well.

I was thrilled to make it into the top 10  players in the Nett Devision again. I think everyone enjoyed the day and were very appreciative of the effort of a small group of ladies who organised today's events and all the Silver and Bronze events throughout the year.
