Breakfast outside...who wouldn't in this lovely weather and gorgeous outlook.

Bell Gorge

An early start on our walk to Bell Gorge...

A beautiful walk into the gorge...

The cliffs getting higher.....

The water just before the falls...we are standing on one side of the falls (and gorge).

The top of the falls...

Looking down at the pool below

....and the view from  the other side of the river...

After climbing down....a swim...

The water was cold but the air was warm. Pete and I both swam over to the falls...our morning shower.

...the rocks were warm too...

On our way back to the other side of the river we ventured up the river a little way...so pretty.

What a stunning place and such perfect weather to enjoy it.

Adcock Gorge

We drove a short way to this next gorge...we got wet feet before we arrived at the gorge.

...a pandanus...

Such beauty on our walk...

I try and take photos of Pete to give some indication of the size of the rocks...

We were the only ones there....

Another shower....

Hanging garden above...

...Submerged rocks...

More cattle...on our way to the next gorge...

Galvans Gorge

Again, another enjoyable walk through the gorge to the pool at the end.

I'm loving all the reflections...

It is only a small gorge but so pretty. The sun was setting so not the best light for photos.

So still and quiet...except for the sound of the falls.

What a day...

Pete preparing our toast and tea...our little gas stove top can be used inside and outside.

We won't have electric power at most of the campsites so very happy that we have a griller.

Pete letting some air out of the tyres now that we are on the dirt road.

Termite mound....they are everywhere. They belong to the Spinifex termite.

Our first creek crossing...

The first cow we saw...

Walking towards Tunnel Creek Cave. It is a 750m long passage under the Napier Range.

The rocks were impressive...

They looked like very expensive Italian marble.

An extraordinary rock...a piece of art...Nature's Art.

There was no lighting in the tunnel, we had torches. (I'm all wet, this photo was taken when we exited the cave.)

For the first few metres we had some sunshine coming through the rocks overhead.

After this photo we had to swim through the tunnel for a short distance (40 strokes)...we left our phones and clothes on the dry rocks...and picked them up on the way back. It was a little scary but quite exhilarating.

We made ourselves some lunch and had it under the trees ...nice view.

Then onto our campsite for the night...Dulundi Silent Grove Campground....not far from Bell Gorge.

Our top going up...there was a bit of a problem but we solved it the next day.

Dusk...our view from the van.

Our Trip to The Kimberley

Last night Pete and I arrived in Broome....and of course this morning we walked to Cable Beach. What an unbelievably beautiful beach....I hadn't seen it before.

After a delicious breakfast we headed back to our chalet at the camp grounds. On the air conditioner in the chalet next to us was quietly sitting a Tawny Frogmouth owl (thanks Google lens).

This is Derby, our first stop after picking up our little camper van. It is also the start of the Gibb River Road. Derby has Australia's highest tidal variations and one of the highest in the world.

Birdwood Downs Station...where we were to spend the night.

Our little van !

Our chosen spot in the camp grounds....near a Boab tree...

So many pawpaws...my favourite fruit.

....and bananas...

A common but also pretty flower here....it is wonderful to see flowers that you have never seen before.

Chooks and peacocks visited our van, hoping for some crumbs.

What a great start we had to our holiday.
