Zebedee Springs, El Questro

Zebedee Springs were not far from the campground...the surrounding vegetation was so different to everywhere else on the Station...rain forest.

There were lots of little spots to relax in the warm water...

It was quite early in the morning , still quite cool...what a marvellous sensation sitting under the warm gushing water.

Amalia Gorge, El Questro

A rocky start on a warm afternoon...

Wasps' nests...

Getting warmer, so really nice being near water.

There were a few tricky areas....makes the walk interesting..

....ah we could cool off in the waterhole at the end of the gorge.

The waterfall was similar to the falls at Emma Gorge....but the rock behind the water was much darker....that's Pete and I next to the falls, the young fellow in the next photo took our picture.

Everyone has been so friendly and helpful...so far we have not encountered any grumpy people.

A stop for some fresh water on our way back ...

You might think that it is a boring walk back along the gorge, the same way you came in, but it isn't, everything looks quite different.

This was a particularly beautiful section of the trail.

How fortunate were we to see all those remarkable gorges in such beautiful weather....Amalia is our favourite.

Emma Gorge

The walk in....

Another beautiful blue sky...

A stunning waterfall at the end of an equally stunning walk.

The water was freezing ...but still enjoyed floating on my back staring at the falls

On the other side of the waterhole there was a small thermal spring....

Like sitting in a warm bath....look at the colours of the rocks!

A shot I took from the water....the colours were spectacular.

Stopped and admired this turquoise pool on our walk out of the gorge.

I think this is a Merten's Monitor

I couldn't not stop and take a photo of this superb reflection.

Close to the gorge itself is Emma Gorge Resort, on the El Questro Station. Pete and I hoovered down a cappuccino and a muffin.

In the afternoon we went to check out where the road to El Questro crosses the Pentecost River. Since we had crossed it last night in the dark we wanted to see what it looked like in daylight.

We also visited Jackaroo's Waterhole...

The meandering Pentecost River viewed from Pigeon Hole Lookout...

Another splendid day in the Kimberley.
