Tonight Pete and I went next-door to Phillip and Jen's home to celebrate Robbie Burns' birthday...what a night it was...in the photo Phillip is slicing the haggis ....it actually tastes ok, a bit like chicken stuffing...

After a delicious meal but before dessert Phillip kept us entertained...he has a lovely voice and is a very good guitarist...we all ( twenty of us) sang along to most of the songs ( often using our phones for the lyrics). It was such a fun night...

 

Pete is his birthday board shorts...another hot day and another swim at Brighton Beach.

I went shopping for a new dress but couldn't find anything I liked so I bought two pairs of shoes. The name on the shoes told me to buy them ( and they are good quality shoes that were on sale!).

We had a wonderful night out with Jeremy and Paul at "Pizzaca"...Pete's birthday present from Jeremy.

They leave for Melbourne tomorrow where Paul will start his new job with Bloomberg and Jeremy at the Allens' office in Melbourne...sorry to see them leave but so excited for them.

 

Our new door mat for our new house...all ready for bookclub tonight.

This is the book we discussed this evening...we all thoroughly enjoyed it..what an amazing woman Fiona Wood is...
