Today we went exploring the beaches around Cape Freycinet...so beautiful.

There were several springs coming from the rocks down to the beach...lots of green vegetation .

Amazing and enormous rock formations and again huge swell and winds.

Taking a decent selfie isn't easy but when it is very windy , it's even more difficult. But I thought we looked happy.

Then we walked around to Contos Beach, a beach surrounded by huge limestone cliffs.

In this photo, we are now on top of Contos Beach with a view down to the beach and Cape Freycinet. This was taken on the Cape to Cape track.

Then the rain came, we were drenched, but it was worth it.

Beautiful Boranup forest, always a pleasure to visit..

I loved this sculpture at the Boranup Gallery where we stopped for a coffee...

Redgate Beach, wild and windy today, but still spectacular.

Pete and I walked along the beach and granite and were mesmerised by the waves as they crashed against the rocks.

In the afternoon we visited the waterfalls on the Margaret River just out of the town,

There was so much water, more than on previous visits in earlier years.

There was nobody about and although there was the loud crashing noise of the water it was a really tranquil place to sit and admire the beauty of the bush.

For dinner we decided to have a curry from the local "Curry Van". Pete is the clever chap with an umbrella in the queue.

Pete and I are spending a few days down in Margaret River whilst I am waiting to start my new job. We are renting a house in the township that belongs to our golfing friends, Shirley and John. This afternoon we went for a walk from Surfer's Point around to the Margaret River mouth.

At the mouth....

..we then continued to walk along the river as far as we could...

...it was just so calm and peaceful, very pretty...

....as we walked back to the car the dark clouds rolled in...

....where the calm river meets the angry surf....

We also drove around to Gnarabup Beach...

Pete , by the fire with a good book and a beer...ideal evening.

I was very excited today to visit Curtin University, it's a huge campus and quite attractive in parts.

Bethany on the day of her Christening with her godparents, Tash and Todd....a beautiful photo that Tash texted me.

Pete and I are minding Rusty while Tash and Todd drive up to Walkaway for Bethany's Christening.  In the late afternoon we took Rusty to the Floreat dog beach, we all had a marvellous time.
