A dazzling start to the day...this rainbow appeared out the front of the house.....

The boys and I spotted these twenty-eight parrots in the backyard....

While Tash and Todd are both working Pete and I are looking after the boys. It was a rainy day but we managed one walk....the most interesting part was when we arrived home and the man next door was using a chainsaw.

Flynn loved his ham and cheese sandwiches that mum had made before she left. He is such an enthusiastic eater.

And at the end of the day, another rainbow, seen from the back of the house....

 

At least 30 red-tailed black cockatoos were flying around the course this morning....

They are a critically endangered species....

They are beautiful....I had a dreadful game today but on the bright side managed to get nearest the pin on the 16th...

After my golf game Pete and I drove down to Cowaramup....we managed to see the boys for a few hours before bed...

 

The last pennant game for the season....at Lake Karrinyup Country Club...it was freezing, most of us wore beanies...this is a photo of their excellent driving range.

I had never seen so much water in their lake...Pete and I missed all the rain while we were up North.

All their kangaroos were lying in the warm sunshine. The team lost again but it is always enjoyable playing at Karrinyup.

 

It was a complete and bright rainbow that we could see from our bedroom window.

And from all the upstairs windows...Pete and I are discovering many positives about having a two story home.

 

An early start for our pennant team at Lakelands Golf Course...sadly we lost. 

 

Our last day...we had a delicious breakfast at the resort then decided the beach was where we would like to     spend an hour or so before going to the airport.

I could spend all day here....

After a glorious sleep in a comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast at the resort poolside cafe, Pete and i set off to explore Broome. First stop was Gantheaume Point. It is the home of Broome's lighthouse, racecourse and dinosaur tracks. The dinosaur tracks are only visible in the spring when the tide is out but we loved exploring the rocks here.

The ocean really was that blue!

This photo was taken on the other side of the peninsular near the Port of Broome. Again amazing rock formations.

Honestly i could have spent all day gazing at the ocean and all the rocks and shells.

Sun Pictures Outdoor Cinema...built in 1916 as a purpose built picture garden. It is in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest operating picture garden in the world.

Streeters Jetty (circa 1890) was the centre of activity in the 1900s with the pearl luggers dropping off their shell to the sorting sheds.

This is The Bungalow, Town Beach... Pete and I loved seeing the wonderful works by renowned artists from around Australia. Both Pete and I agreed such a painting would look good in our new home. It took a while to decide which one we would buy as there were so many that we would have loved to own but finally we settled on this one...

I can't wait to hang it on our wall.

Before going out to dinner we watched the sun set at Cable Beach...and wow it was awesome...

The last night of our holiday...

Several hours later, after we we had eaten a delicious meal at Mr Saigon restaurant we saw the moon rise above Town Beach. Between March  and October for only three nights each month the full moon rises over the bay after the sun has set creating a staircase to the moon. The full moon reflects on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating the illusion of a staircase to the moon.
