Our new chair in our bedroom...it is very comfortable. I'm so enjoying buying things for the house...not all at once, but one new item, small or large, every so often.

Pete and I enjoyed a fabulous Saturday night with this lovely bunch of people. It was Laura and Steve's turn to host our monthly "Cheap and Cheerful" gathering. After drinks and delicious nibbles at their home , we walked to Tasty Momo restaurant. Their Nepalese food was definitely tasty...I loved it.

This photo was taken earlier in the week...I quite like it....

Our last day in Melbourne...I shall miss the great cups of coffee that Chris made for me..Pete and I had a wonderful week ...thanks to the Carlo, Phil, Macario and Lucian for flying down from Sydney to catch up with us...and thanks to Chris and Michelle for our 5 star accomodation and delicious meals. Thanks to Jeremy and Paul who are both settling into their new jobs and new apartment, for finding the time to spend with us all. Oh and thanks to Monty, he gave us so many laughs .

Loved having a window seat for the trip home. I made several videos to show Will, Ethan and Flynn and took some photos from them for the blog.

I always enjoy seeing the clouds...

Walk from Altona to Williamstown

Another sunny day in Melbourne....Pete and I decided to walk to Williamstown ...the beach looked beautiful in the sunshine...

Walking through the suburb of Seaholme, the city in the distance...

Looking back at Altona....

 Altona Coastal Park

Crossing Kororoit Creek...and we see this beautiful bird...

It is an Eastern Great Egret...

The creek has mangroves growing on both sides...and huge numbers of birds..

Arrived at Williamstown Beach where we could buy a coffee and hot donuts...

....if we had brought our bathers I think we would have had a swim...

One of the older houses in Williamstown...there are so many and they are beautiful..

Love the old buildings along the waterfront too ...

So many stunning views ...so pleased we had done the walk...we caught the train home.

Our last evening in Melbourne...family dinner at this fabulous Japanese restaurant, Wabi Sabi Salon...

....and a walk to down to the Messina Ice cream shop...

Finally some rain, can't complain. we have had such good weather all week. I took this photo from Chris and Michelle's car...

Pete and I caught the train to North Melbourne Station and then walked to  Auction Rooms to meet everyone for breakfast. I love the crooked building, Marina Tower, in this photo...keep meaning to try and see it up close.

We enjoyed the walk, we had never been in this part of Melbourne...

So pretty...

North Melbourne Town Hall...

Arrived...

Lu with his baby chino...stirring mum's cappuccino

A nice photo of Carlo and Lu.

Lu,  Jeremy, Pete, Phil, Mackie and Paul ....sensational food and coffee...

A talented drawer...

We all sat and chatted for what seemed like hours...then Phil and family were off to the airport to catch a flight home to Sydney. It was so nice to spend time with them.

Paul and Jeremy went home ...Paul mentioned the DFO in Southbank so Pete and I thought it was a good idea to have a look...

It was worth a visit...we did a little shopping ...and had a cake and coffee...

Then walked to Southern Cross Station to catch the train home to Altona.

I love the tall buildings...they are all so different and interesting....

This is one of my favourites....

.... I took another picture from the train...
