One of my happy places...

I'm putting together a large scrap quilt with all my remnants...it will bring back a lot of memories and at the same time allow me to buy some modern vibrant fabrics ...

 

My beautiful Mother's Day flowers that Jeremy, Tash and Chris sent. I was pleased to be able to chat to all three today...thank goodness for modern technology.

After a quiet morning Pete and I drove into the city to see the musical RENT performed at His Majesty's Theatre. Down the road not far from the theatre is the Agnate Hotel, one of the Art Series Hotels of the which there are quite a few around Australia. The mural was painted by Melbourne based artist Matt Adnate. It is one of the world's tallest murals at 25 stories. There are three portraits...the faces of a Noongar man, an Indian woman, and a Mediterranean woman.

The musical was fabulous...great performance by everyone on stage.

His Majesty's has had renovations done recently...including this spacious verandah...

And a new bar on the second floor, which wasn't opened today but looked like something out of the movies.

Such a beautiful theatre...been here a long time...built in 1904.

A gorgeous photo of Tash, Will, Ethan and Flynn...taken this morning by Todd. Again , thanks to modern technology. Just seeing this photo today was a gift.

 

It was a foggy, eerie morning....

There was just the swell, not choppy....behind the waves the water was like glass.

It was cool, cloudy weather when we started playing at Gosnells Golf Course this morning but it was clear and sunny after only an hour. Mandy came up to play in the Silver/Bronze event...we both had an enjoyable day.

It was the The Budden Trophy Day today....Carol (left) won the day...Dawn presented her trophy...she is an amazing lady, 89 years old and still with a handicap under 30 and plays 18 holes in a cart. I was pleased to come third, my handicap is coming down slowly.

 

I wasn't there at the time but Tash kindly sent me Pete and I some wonderful videos and photos of Ethan's kindy class performing some songs for Mother's Day.

 

Pennants today was at The Vines Golf and Country Club. I was impressed with the course...

A Par three...you can just see the players on the green.

LOTS of kangaroos...the course is on the outskirts of Perth.

So pretty...

Good friends Gaye and Irene...the team won today ( I lost on the 17th hole).
