Isn't this an amazing plant? It is growing next to the 11th tee box...I think is is ...Casuarina Glauca ...
Beautiful Marri flowers....a rather late bloom?
The infamous Robin Edwards....after 37 years is leaving our club ...she is moving to Helena Valley...she is pretending to cry as she walks through our gates...but no doubt we will see her back at WAGC at Silver/

Pete's pennant team (Senior men off the stick ) at Lake Karrinyup Golf Club after their match. Greg in the front, Raj, Stuart, Richard, Stjohn and Pete. The boys had a bottle of wine to give Pete and a few nice words from Stu as this year will be his last on the team.

A rather long line of people waiting to vote at Newborough Primary School....luckily I didn't have to worry about parking, the school is just up the road from our house.
Pete and I were very pleased with the result...I think Albanese has done a great job ....he comes across as a warm and compassionate person.
Several years ago I read Penny Wong's biography and she had said that Anthony Albanese would make a great Prime Minister...I have always remembered that because I admire Penny.
...And another politician I think has done an excellent job as Treasurer is Jim Chalmers ....it can't have been easy...the years after covid....and he is an excellent speaker.

Anzac Day
There was a full field today for the Anzac Day Trophy and the Commemoration Cup... after a delicious smorgasbord lunch we all attended the Anzac Day Ceremony on the first tee.
It was a shotgun start this afternoon...Peter and I played with Eugene and James, we began on the sixth hole ....our longest.
Pete teeing off on the ninth hole....he won nearest the pin...
Walking down the 4th hole (only two to go) and the clouds were gathering...
James, Eugene and Pete....excellent company...
Walking back towards the Clubhouse (looking forward to a coffee)....Pete and I both played well and came 4th in the Commemoration Cup.
